Rockstar ended but did it?

The wizardry of the silver screen is so arresting that we often drown ourselves in the storyline and assume that we are the main character. So often we feel like living in that dreamy world and don't expect a sudden or dejected ending. Flicks are indeed made with at most care and have a logic for every end but we still desire to fabricate our own endings in our mind that may sound stupid to others but definitely satisfies our inner movie character that craved for its very own ending. One such movie that hits me is Rockstar, one of the best ones I have watched so far, prior to improving it let me give you the film synopsis: “College student Janardan is a simpleton who desperately seeks inspiration for the musician inside him. Although heartbreak helps him reach his goal, it also leads him to self-destruction.”

It’s nothing like I didn’t like the ending, I was very much satisfied with it but the inner child within me always craves for glee and the sudden snuffing of Heer pinched my soul, I didn’t want her to go. Jordan got everything he desired at the cost of Heer!? Why? What if Heer didn’t die and life gives her a second chance? Here’s my end to the story :

( Taking you all to the point where Heer was about to lose her last breath) the doctor tells Heer that God has given her a second chance to live her life to the fullest, living every day as her last day not merely when she was about to die but every day. Jordan still has a name among the stars but the fear of losing Heer after seeing her death so intimately made him realize that nothing in the whole

world is above the elation that could be felt when he was with her. Jordan became Janardan again held Heer’s hand to start a blissful life with her. True love it was, Heer knew the dream of Jordan and didn’t give him the choice to choose between the two, rather motivated him and became his strength gradually. Jordan outshined in every concert he did, his eyes were filled with the power of love rather than any rue. He became so prominent that he started world concerts, took Heer wherever he goes, gazed in her eyes while singing. The match became a youth sensation and point of every adoration, #JoHeer started trending everywhere and yet they proved the right person could make you touch stars without foregoing contentment.

It is said that there are two ways to be successful either break your heart or make it to the fullest. The latter one doesn’t require any sort of pain, the power of love from the right person is enough to make your life pleasing and victorious. What is the point of your triumph when your heart won’t feel healthy? Heartbreak can give you success but it won’t give you the bliss you wanted your whole life. I wanted Jordan and Heer to live that bliss along with the success and really that I have done enough justice to what they deserved. Changing the synopsis in my way would be :

“College student Janardan is a simpleton who desperately seeks inspiration for the musician inside him. Fell in love which made him a better person along with being triumphant .”
