The little things

It’s the little things.
It’s the sound of laughter drifting up the stairways in the morning.
It’s the aroma of pancake and muffin batter tickling my nose.
It’s music in my ears and lemony fresh cleaning supplies.
It’s the little things that call me to the waking world.
These “little things” may seem insignificant, but together they ignite a passion, a hunger
to be a part of something.
It’s those little things that I feel the most regretful about missing.
These moments aren’t big or significant, but I know that a lifetime of these
little moments are the things I’ll cherish one day.
So, I get out of bed for the little things,
and that’s okay.
Not everyone has to wake up at 5 a.m. or start their own business.
Sometimes, we can just live for the moment.
